General Federation of Iraqi Workers

The General Federation of Iraqi Workers is the main national trade union centre in Iraq. It brings workers together in pursuit of a free, democratic and non-sectarian Iraq. It campaigns to secure dignified working and living conditions for the people of Iraq and the  guarantee of basic trade union rights as enshrined in International Law.

The Palestinian General Federation of Trade Unions

The Palestinian General Federation of Trade Unions (PGFTU), is a national trade union centre in Palestine representing  290,000 workers and is affiliated with the International Trade Union confederation. The PGFTU was one of the first main organisations to declare its support for the peace process and the Oslo Agreement, hoping that the implementation of the agreement might  lead to the establishment of a free and democratic Palestinian state.
