The project seeks to explore, analyse and share learning from regions dealing with conflict with a focus on the role of trade unions in the development of shared and just societies.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0conference brought\u00a0together trade unionists, activists and academics from Britain, Ireland, Iraq, Palestine, the Basque Country and Andalusia who talked\u00a0about the challenges faced by trade unions in societies in transition.<\/p>\n<p>The conference focused\u00a0on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Labour and transition from conflict<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Labour rights as human rights<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Austerity and inequality<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Alternatives for transition<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Speakers were:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Peter Bunting<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Ass.
